I’m Leanne and I’m an illustrator and artist based in Vernon, CT. I find endless inspiration in my two young daughters, who actively participate in all of my creative endeavors.

I’ve worked in corporate graphic design jobs for nearly 20 years, but went to school to study fine art and illustration. Drawing is my happy place!

I love to incorporate warm color schemes, organic movement created through line work, and a joyful dose of whimsy in my illustrations. While I prefer to work in traditional mediums (gouache paint, colored pencil and ink), I also find that certain projects benefit from digital drawing.

My digital work often combines imagery and hand lettering to convey meaningful messaging. My subject matter ranges from humorous and silly, to the importance of acceptance and love. I’m also interested in exploring the duality of motherhood and artistry, the meaning of family, and promoting gender equality.

In 2022, I self-published my first children’s book, Lily and Aster. I’m currently working on the final stages of my second book with hopes to self-publish sometime in 2025.

My artwork has been displayed in the CWA Annual National Open Juried Exhibit at Arts Center East, as well as published in UPPERCASE magazine’s offspring periodical, Little U, and Jess Goldsmith’s Women of Type book.
